The ESSX starting block is made of cast aluminum, so
it will never rust or corrode. Each pedal has 1/2"
of synthetic surface. It comes with twelve 3/8"
spikes for maximum stability and includes two 4" X 1/2"
insertable spikes for cinder applications. |

| What makes this block different from many blocks on
the market are two distinct features. First, the
convenient carrying handle makes transport a breeze.
And, when you lift the block by only the handle, the
pedals STAY ATTACHED meaning a single person can carry
up to four blocks at a time away from the starting line.
The second less distinct feature is the extra wide
pedals. Although many sprinters have narrow hips,
those with the wider hips find their feet quickly
separating from the narrow stance provided by many
blocks. With a wider stance, more movement can be
applied directly forward making for faster starts.
The narrow hipped athlete simply places their feet
closer to the center or inside of the block. This
makes this particular block a great purchase to cover
more athletes on the team. |
